I've closed my EGR valve completely with a remap and today removed the vacuum hose too.
I know that the manufacturer has made the SOI map, so it took the hotter air from the EGR into account, and I can definitely see the SOI maps has a big hole in them just where the EGR is active.
I'm very cautious regarding the SOI maps, therefore I hope there's someone who wants to give me some guidance on this.
I've read a lot of material regarding SOI, but therefore I know it's hard to change it correctly without proper monitoring, which the manufacturer has used when they made the car.
My car is a VW Passat 2002 with the AVF engine, but more general than engine specific advice is also very much appreciated :)
I hope some of you experienced guys will help me :)
