Engine vibrations on 2.0 HDI PUG 406 and Rate my stage2 tune

Postby MothaHDI » Wed Apr 18, 2018 12:59 pm

Hi! So this week i remaped my car to a stage 2 and at the same time i changed the shock absorbers to a bilstein gas. The car feels strange when pushing really hard. I can feel weird vibrations comming from the engine. It's possible that the injectors calibrations was done wrong? On a mechanical stand point maybe the transmission is damaged :( Anyone with this car feels anything like this? ecuedit? (you know about this stuff)

Anyway, can you guys rate my tune? TY

hi,
i have checked the file and before you start to do mechanical stuff on your engine, you should conisder making/getting proper optimisated file because this - i will say it directly without bad feelings - is total crap. Nothing in this file is good. Your vibration can be a result of too rich mixture too.

Actually the vibrations, i think they come from the exhaust touching the car chassis.

I'm here to learn ecuedit. I'm a 20yrs old and i have a lot of time on my life to learn new things... I know its not the best remap and i was afraid of this when i did this stage 2 remap. Almost everything that i've learned come from PDF guides and Forums and i cant find anyone with a file like mine, so i always need to adapt.

About the rich misture, when i calculated my AFR, i calculated them to 14 to test them... and NO SMOKE!! So i keeped lowering them until i saw smoke. For my stage 2 what was limiting my power was AFR. The problem is when the ambient temps are higher, i see smoke in almost every gear. (I'm in portugal, so no one cares)

Can you give me tips to improve?

BTW this remap is based on the 110hp version, so, many of the "useless" maps are changed too.

you can only change so much without boost control, for stage 2 you really need more air

More air you mean bigger turbo? Or Manual boost controller?

jurebv: I have a thread on ecuconnections (you already helped)http://www.ecuconnections.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=152&t=59354
