I have a 2006 mini R50 cooper with no keys, but I also have a scrap (accident damaged) 2006 mini one with 2 keys and all ecu's etc.

I can get the cooper running using the parts from the one, but then I need to transfer the cooper engine map to the one ecu.

Is this just a case of reading the cooper map and writing it to the one ecu?

OR:

Leave cooper DME alone transfer BCM and Central locking module over from 'one', and teach in 'one' keys to cooper DME?

Have a lot of options.
You can use EWS from One together with ECU of One and the Start Switch and coppy the map from Cooper to One ECU, but probably are different sw and car will not start or tool will refuse to write.Need some skills to write a good file.
Second is to coppy Cooper eeprom from EWS and made a new chip for key fob.Install the new chip in Key fob from One and use learning procedure for open and closing doors.
Third is to make immo off in Cooper ECU (need boot mode)and use key fob from One together with Start Switch.Same procedure for closing doors opening.

i prefer the transferring of the dme map from the cooper to 'one' this keeps all then ecus and keys together.

what needs to be done to ensure a successful transfer of the engine management code?
