Hi guys

Great forum!! I'm going to give my first ecu a go. The wifes 2005 Focus 1.6tdci 110bhp. I want to delete the egr, or switch off at least. I will post in the egr section once all the bits have arrived. Once again great site I am handy with most things have done some eprom stuff in the past so I am hoping this should be pretty straight forward.

Update time

I've managed to build and solder the frame and card, read the eeprom from the Focus EDC16 and now I am trying to find the EGR valve map and the DTCs using WINOLS. Wish me luck :)

You weren't able to read via ODB? What kind of ECU is in the Focus?

Its an EDC16 in a 2005 focus 1.6tdci. I didnt want to rick reading via obb2 port. Although WINOLS is getting the better of me and I am struggling to find the egr maps and where the DTCs might be. I thought Id try ECU safe but that just doesnt do anything no alterations. I may have to post on here for some help :(
