BMW MEVD172*. What tool do OBD unlock and full read?

BMW MEVD172* is OBDII unlockable by most vendors now.

I have a means to flash but that tool does not read the existing DME ROM first. What tools can I use to read an existing DME ROM without removing the DME?

I dont think it's possible to read it from OBD, you will need to open up the ECU or start over with the VR file.
But my experience is only with KessV2 and KTAG.
