The same ECU, different car brand

Postby matez » Mon Sep 24, 2018 5:43 pm

Little question. Can I upload a program from my friend? We have the same engine (1.8t auq) and the same ecu. The difference is that I have Seat Leon and he has Skoda Octavia.

I don't think, that it will work, unless all the Hardware is totally equal.
I would read out both cars and compare the dumps. You will see in which maps changes were made and maybe you can copy the changes to your file. I guess there are more differences like software switches etc. which shouldn't be copied from the other car.
We maybe could give more specific answers, if you give us more details like ECU numbers, SW numbers etc.

Yes, if you have absolutely the same HW, SW/ SW UPG, There won't be any problems at all, done this multiple times since sometimes the kess v2 virtual read are in the databank as some other model, id both ecus and check that they are eactly the same and not just the same ecu model
