Kess V2 Partial or Total Write EDC15P PD115

Postby user202 » Thu Feb 14, 2019 10:41 pm

Hi There,

Today I would like to write a Car with an EDC15P ECU (Galaxy 1.9 PDTDI 115 Hp) throught OBD but the Kess ask write to "Partial writing" or "Total writing"

Has anybody experience about it? What is tha main differences between these two? :)

I assume better to write back the Total :)
Mostly the HDI-s EDC15C2-s I met before didn't ask anything "partial write" or something.

Thank you

Partial write will write the certain areas in the map i.e torque limiter/fuel quantity/duration EGR/DPF etc.
Full write for when going back to stock file.

It doesn't really matter when loading a tuned file, but i always use the total write, less chance for something to go wrong, better to completely overwrite the data.

Thank you guys for help.
SO this way I can understand the way how it works.
I will make a total write. :) Hopefully it won't have any critical problem :)
