Hi all I’m quite inexperienced with immobiliser end of tunning, just a quick question if I had say for instance an e46 bmw with an ecu not working, and I wanted to replace it so I buy a second hand ecu do I need to clone the data from my original ecu and write it to the replacement of van I simply open the ecu read it with KTag and get a immo of map and then it’s essentially plug and plug am I correct ??
Also what is meant be the term Virginise ecu ?
Sorry if I’m asking a stupid question but it’s the only way to learn
