Hello guys,
as I need to introduce myself here - here it is:
My name is Steffen (34) and I am for one year already an owner a beautiful E39 individual in carbon black. And as I also like to take care about my machines in connection to my problem I heard about this forum from a friend of our e39 forum.
Why I need you guys:
My car has a problem at full load. I read the ECU and the error shows that the boost pressure is too high. After many diagnostic rides there are some facts already.
1 The boost control of the turbo is working good and quick in low and mid load. Air pressure follows directy - so in this was everything seems to be fine.
2. The air mass is too low in full load. Even if the air pressure is too high. Air mass does exactly what the air pressure does, but under around 10 percent under the expected value. If it reaches the expected value, my over boost is at/over the limit of the sensor (2490 mbar/hPa) then the air mass is exactly at the value it should be. But then the ecu goes into emergency run.
3. The drivers wish is 450 Nm at full load. My car should have 350 Nm. And now we are at the point why I am here. I want to find out, if my software is original or if someone was changing values. Because I couldn't find tuning boxes or such things connected to the ecu.
4. Rail pressure fits exactly to the values that should be: 1300 bar rail pressure @ 3200 rpm @ 2200 mbar charged air @ 915 mg air mass - full load.
I had a look into the map already. But for me it is still very confusing. I can't find a map with the drivers wish. So maybe it is a calculation of some other maps - like fuel amount?
I use winOLS. Maybe someone can give me an original file of an 2003 E39 525D to compare?
I also added my file here, if someone wants to check if there is something wrong with.
Greetings,
Steffen
