Is this tuner worth his reputation? Me7.5

Postby HDiPower » Mon May 27, 2019 6:57 pm

Said i'd post this for a bit of fun if nothing else. My car (a BAM225 Me 7.5 ECU) was tuned by what is regarded as the best tuner in the country, he lectures in the local University about automotive tuning. I travelled over 150km to have the car live tuned on his 4wd rolling road and he has done hundreds of these cars (and many others).

The car drives excellently with loads of power and has excellent data when logging (egt's, lambda etc).
Is he worth the money he charges and the reputation he has?

I never had an original unfortunately, the car had a poor remap when I bought it so I visited this tuner to sort it out

ive seen far better maps...enough to look flat LDRXN, flat KFLDHBN , KFMIRL & KFMIOP do not match, timing stock (except retarding for pops&bangs) , KFLBTS is leaner than LAMFA ...

cant really agree this is pro tune...far from it actually

Interesting stuff, this feedback is what i'm looking for! Keep in mind we have only 95RON fuel max here so timing may not be as aggressive as some tunes

Bad file. The tuner set to MAX all the maps that he can find. LDRXN is set to 280% load. He is asking more then 2bar off boost from the original turbo. Badly done lambda maps. This must be begginers file.
