Polo 9N 1.4 TDI diy remapping questions

Postby vlad623 » Wed May 29, 2019 9:09 am

Good morning, everyone!

I should start off by saying that I'm an absolute beginner when it comes to ECU flashing, but I am trying to gather some info.

Not to seem like advertising, but I found a website called blacksmoke.co.uk, and it's helped me reach a level of confidence about DIY remapping high enough to buy a MPPS interface and try to remap my 1.4 TDI Volkswagen Polo 9N.

After having checked my ECU ID, I've come to the conclusion that the website doesn't hold a map with the same ECU ID that I need. I can find a file for 045906019AB, but my ECU seems to be 045906019AP. I'm not entirely sure if the maps are "interchangeable", but I'd rather not try to brick my ECU without having asked beforehand.

Does anyone have any experience with this? If not, can anyone help me with a file for my specific ECU? I'm looking to increase power to about 100 BHP.

Many thanks!

Vlad

You need to know HW and SW number, then the part number needs to be exactly the same...

you should be very careful on just loading any files especially files from forums. i would recommend that you upload your original file and we will help you through the process. this vehicle and ecu is really not hard to tune
