Golf IV ALH tune, first attempt

Mostly trying to put my theory to practice in regards to tuning my ALH. Haven't put this in the car, afraid I'll blow something!

Attempted to maximise fuelling/boost and smooth power delivery out; though I could have gone the complete wrong way about it. Also added in launch control, disabled EGR and added and a "hardcut limiter" (I know it's technically not one, right?)

for easy comparising, put original file also ;).
MK4 1.9tdi this engine you can but much before blow em up... you have to do much wrong to destroy em.

Thanks, that's good to know, am I right to say that from what I've seen so far the worst I'll get is rolling coal when I go WOT? At least, until I start playing with the timings and that baffles me since a lot of people talk about the injection duration which I believe is only present on the PD engines. I have been tweaking and smoothing and have a theoretical power of 132bhp and 300Nm, which I have a feeling is beyond the stock engine's limits. Again, feedback appreciated. Have attached the original and updated copy.

The bin is not from my car but I am using an original upload to get a feel for it.

Short look.

EGR isnt disable.
Have a look at your boost map.
Work on TQ-Limiter maps.
Single boost limiter value should be a bit over highest boost pressure.
for e.g. if highest value in boost map is 2200mbar set svbl to 2250mbar.
Wouldnt use values higher 2250mbar on this turbos.

130hp and 300Nm absoluty no possible at stock engine in my opinion. ~120-125hp and 270-280nm is max Ive got from them.
Messuared at dyno not calculate on airmass...

So, know searching fr EDC15 Tuning guide and have a look at youtube videos.

Thanks, I am using the "So you want to get into mapping cars" guide as well as vagecumap's guides on YT. Taken what you've said about the boost limit, and have adapted that. More closely matched TQ to reflect DW map. Boost map from what I gather should be pushing it to run slightly lean; running at the stoicometric ratio I recall would trash emissions and I'm conscious of that as opposed to maximum power. EGR set to max across the board now, that is disabling it right?

Should I be tailoring all these maps to push maximum fuel/boost in the effective range of ~1900-2750rpm with a rapid-but-smooth buildup and a gradual dropoff towards redline? My main objective is to smooth out power delivery and increase the power within said range.

Another thing. If I gently tap the gas in lower gears (1-2), the car lurches forwards and then brakes hard when letting off - think within value of 5% pedal. Would this be smoothed out in the DW map by reducing the fuel delivery?

Attached new file as well. Will tone down the power a bit as those figures like you said are certainly not achievable.

Toned it down a little and the cable came today so I flashed it; thought I killed the car at first! Luckily the battery died and thankfully it wasn't too low to fail flashing! Overall more power and delivery feels smoother - exactly what I was after! Appreciate any feedback on the attached file :) Theoretically 118bhp 276Nm torque so I'm guessing I should expect a little less on a dyno.

Egr still not off.
boost map, you should have a look again.
havent check fuel maps... but looks better than before.

do not trust as much for calc power...

Manual.

What's wrong with boost map? Is it too high?

Also, i thought 850 across egr map would effectively shut it off or am I missing something?
