Battery Stabiliser

Postby Escort » Mon Jul 29, 2019 8:15 am

Hi,
I keep reading and reading through some guides and see that the battery stabilizer theme pops up frequently. And have seen the need, of course, to have enough voltage on the battery to carry out both reading and writing process. But when I watch a video from Kiel Motorsport they say that this should not be connected directly to the battery but to the outlets for starting cables. My question then is, why this? What does one avoid or achieve with this?
Have ordered me a Stanley BC25BS, look forward to this one coming in the mail.

As long as it's a good connection then there should not be a problem,
the resistance between chassis and battery terminal is minimal so I don't see a why it would make a difference.
Good choice on the charger tho, often see people use 4amp home chargers and wonder why they killed an ecu
