1.9 PD TDI AWX (Superb) with GTD1752VRK turbo

Postby tpozsgai » Sat Jul 06, 2019 2:55 pm

Hi,

my car went through a number of mods recently and got an ECU remap as well. Mentionable modifications: GTD1752VRK ball bearing turbocharger, electronic turbocharger VNT actuator, 550*180*65 mm FMIC, stronger clutch&pressure plate.

The ECU remap was made by a professional tuner. Any evaluations, suggestions are welcome.

My concern is that the maximum safe limit is 1,9 bars with this turbocharger, available from ~2200 rpm. Do you think there would be any limiting factor as to why it was not used? What else should be modified if I wish to increase it?

There is another problem I was not able to explain so far: at high load, the car goes to semi-limp mode, where the acceleration in the high rev ranges are retained, while lower ranges accelerate much slower. Restarting the car immediately solves the problem.

Logs are not yet available but I will measure later on.

Thanks for any answers in advance!!

I think the person made the settings just ignored the torque limits and set values too high to ever restrict fuel injection. IQ is mostly limited by driver's request of MAF in this file. I got a lot of negative feedback on another forum, so this might not be a good thing.
