Hi, can anyone help on this? 3 cylinder Skoda Fabia slight misfire at ~ 3500rpm especially when cold engine. The ECU responds by shutting down the injector and setting DTC.

I've read a lot about people trying to fix the mechanical cause of similar problems and changing huge amounts of hardware including new cylinder head without fixing the issue. I've also heard of people trying a different ECU and the problem going away.

I would like to try modifying software to fix the problem. I think given the operating condition is occurs, it may be a lack of robustness in the timing / EGR settings. Between software levels there may be different misfire detection calibrations also. I would like to get the latest version of software that can run on my ECU + modify the diagnostic thresholds / response.

I understand the DAMOS/a2l file for SIMOS 9.1 isn't easily available. Is there anyone here who can help?

OK, so I managed to find a SIMOS 10.1 a2l + hex. I found what I needed to change inside SIMOS 10.1 and I've then been trying to compare the map structure to SIMOS 9.1. Unfortunately, it seems the function version for the misfire detection may have changed between the software levels as the maps don't tie up :thumbdown: Any suggestions?
