BMW E46 320D year 1999/2000

Good Morning,

This is the first time a BMW E46 320D year 1999/2000 has appeared for me without the 16-pin port under the tableir.

A stupid question, as under the hood are the round 20-pin connector, if I get a 20-pin male to 16-pin female connector cable, can I read and write on the ecu?

Yes, can read and write,need only few seconds for read and write.

Yes, can read and write,need only few seconds for read and write.

I thought I had to open the ecu to remove the chip.

This ecu is then an edc15 version, right?
maps are the same as edc16 models after 2001, right?
