Hi! I want to known the difference from an Immo off by software or Desoldering the eeprom. The ecu in question is EDC15C2.

I know the theory behind the desoldering and using an eeprom programmer to change the bin but i keep seeing files from "tunning companies" and they just use VOLTA or ECU Safe for this kind of stuff. I tried to understant the software diferences from both files but i cant see anything special! Thanks :)

I've seen this so many times...

So, when we read the eeprom from obd2 port and it gives us a 515kb file, what does that have to do with immo? The immo informations isnt suppose to be in the other eeprom (the tiny one with 8 pins)? If yes, why did this guy use volta on the "main" eeprom file?

Some immo off solutions can be done in flash , but in most cases on eeprom, you cant read eeprom over obd2, only flash...
