I have an understanding question regarding the decryption and encryption of ecu files..
I am new to ecu editing and already read some guides but do not understand completely how it is done.
Lets say I have a KTAG Slave and read the flash/eeprom whatever from my ecu. So now I cannot edit the maps with WinOLS for example because the data is encrypted. I need to contact a tuner who decrypts the files, does the mapping, encrypts the files again and send them back to me. So my question is what is needed to encrypt/decrypt the files? Why I cannot do it on my own?

Slave = only, read write. its locked to your specific master! You cant sent to all master for decryption... its register to one.
You send encrypted and you get encrypted.

Master = read, write and you can modify your own.

Get a Mastertool and you can also prepare your maps in WinOls...
