Good morning Genadko,
thank you very much for you support that makes me better understand tuning map.
I just wonder why we have, even the original one, not a smooth bend but we have some "sharp" points in the bend?
I hope I make myself clear.

Hi Genadko,
I adjusted the TQ limit and flashed the map. I like the result. I gained torque at lower RPM and kept a good torque at middle RPM. No need more as I am not pushing hard such an old engine with 270.000 km.
As told this is a hobby so I would look at some hardware improvement as well...but everything I can do in my garage :mrgreen:

Hi Genadko,
just for my knowledge, do you know which one is (are) the maps IQ related to fuel Temperature? There are many potential maps but I am not yet good at full understanding.
I found an interesting document on the web and I enclose it maybe it is useful to all of us for general comprehension.

I nave reed it one year ago and tried tuning the car of my friend (Peugeot 406 2.0HDI) with same ECU. The result was pretty good.
I didn't search for fuel depend on temperature maps because I think that they aren't very important and are for fine tuning.

Our map is not very convincing, you will have maf reading problems and exhaust manifold overpressure.

I mean that by closing the EGR you have generated overpressure in the exhaust manifold without compensating with anything at all, also surely you will have an error code, which makes the car not work at low rpm as it should.

I completely disagree witih you, as fasas I know:
- the quantity of exhausted gas recycled by the EGR is from 5% to 15%. I really doubt that such a small amount of gas will bring overpressure;
- the function of the EGR is to recirculate exhaust gas back to the intake manifold ONLY to low the pollution and not a way to reduce pressure into the manifold;
- the EGR usually causes some loss of power (because exhaust gas are sent back into the cylinder) and some smoke;
- the major problems are occurrung when EGR is stuck OPEN not when it is closed;
- there is no warning light and the car runs great expecially at low RPM where I mapped the maximum increase as this car is poor at low RPM;
- there a DTC code but this is relevant to the ECU function monitoring the EGR. It does not show anything in the dashboard;

...forgot one thing...if you do not want any DTC it is enought not to cloese the EGR 100% but just leave 95%. I did not test but I read on the forum you can do it to have NO DCT.
