I have a need to change the maximum and minimum engine speed on the Delhi MT05.3 ECU mounted to the new Honda iGXV800 EFI engines. Honda has installed locks which limit top speed to 4,000 rpms my application requires 4,250 rpms. Idle speed is limited to 1,200 rpms my application requires less then.

I have the Honda software to change the settings with-in Honda's parameters. I need assistance on avenue to remove locks.

Any suggestions or someone that can accomplish this procedure and bills accordingly would be appreciated.

This is an ongoing project addressing 300 or more pcs per year.

I know enough here to be dangerous. When you say file you mean? I can access the Can side of the ECU which enables me to see more details. The actual Honda soft ware is limited to see settings only.

I have downloaded some soft ware to see more detailed info which requires a OBII to USB connector which I have on order.

As Harley Motorcycles uses some what the same Delphi ECU I visited a after market tuning shop for Harley motorcycles. They could not access the ECU and sent an extra one off to one of their suppliers they commented each ECU had some sort of S lock on the max speed setting. Than due to the Covid-19 thing they went dark.

You steer me in the correct direction I believe this can not be that difficult. How do we compensate you for your time?

Also Kohlers uses the same type ECU for marine engines which do not have a lock. Unfortunately Kohlers system is a closed loop system and Honda is an open loop system.
