Volvo EDC15C11 Checksum Calculation!

Postby jursi » Sun Sep 06, 2020 3:03 am

Hey!

I got a job from my friend to mod hi's volvos file (ive been mostly doing mercs edc15/16) and did a test file just to log what kind of maf it would get with ~1.4bar boost and then fine tune the smokelimiter after that and rest of the file. So now the problem is that my way of "learning" the edc15c11 is to do tests, log, adjust, log, adjust... but my winols wont do checksum and when i try to use ultimo it recognizes volvo common rail diesel version 2 and when i choose the modded file it says in green "checksum zones 0 and corrections 0" but there has to be some checksums right? Can anyone help me how to properly calculate them or is there a properly working tool for it ?

Thanks in advance, Jursi. <3

Attached orig and my crappy file that i would just like to try first to get idea does everything work like i think

I think i found solution, ECM didnt recoqnize somehow the driver but when i went to look for volvo v70 d5 163 hv drivers there was one for 441 and i think it means ecu hwnumber ending 441 and this is 441 ending so i chose it and then it show green on checksum with orig file and then i just added the edited file and saved it. Checked with winols that it has changed 2 number strings so seems right to me. Ill report here when we can test if this checksum method works! :)
