checksum buffer error

Postby 27mbz » Thu Dec 03, 2020 6:26 pm

Hello, I have a skoda octavia 2.0 TDI BKD, EDC16U1, I read the the ori file with kess v2 2.53, I modded it via winols and I wanted to write it to the car, kess gave me error (checksum error writing buffer) I mention that i corrected the checksum in winols. When I try to write the file read by odb, It gives me RSA error. What should be the problem ? And how to solve this?
I will attach the files.
And can someone correct it for me ? or teach me how to make it work ?

Try with a real tool, your fake tool has checksum fault....

as ive already explained on other forum, find matching ori and restore checksums to ori, then it will write, same problem happens on genuine kess

I've already corrected his checksum, his Ori is only bad because his tool scrambled his checksum on reading

no, it cant be fixed checksums, kess and ktag (even genuine) are kinda stupid tools and they will refuse to write, you have to restore checks to ori not fix them

I used an original to restore the checksums, then corrected his mod file...
He's using a fake tool and it's suffering from the common Checksum problem...
If he writes my file with good tool it will be ok...
