Postby krunevski » Fri Dec 18, 2020 6:08 pm

Hello guys My name is Stefan and i am from a small country called Macedonia. Never tried tuning but i am very interested in it. What are the procedures of learning as a beginner and very low level of knowledge, and which program should i use. I have bought the kess v.2 probably demo cause its only 200Eur, with a gift of Winols in it. Is winols good and are there any courses for a beginner, i am willing to pay. Thank you in advance

Welcome Stefan!

The first thing I would suggest is heading over to YouTube and seeing what you can find there. There is a lot of good info for free online if you are willing to search for it. There is also a lot of classes you can pay for and attend depending on what you're trying to do. With regards to KESS, this is a great tool, but if you don't know how to find maps, identify and the axis data and the factors, working with the files you get from KESS will be almost impossible. You will need to have some sort of background in reverse engineering. Some ECUs will have maps already defined by other members and people (even companies). If you have one of those ECUs, then you would need to know about basic engine tuning theory and which maps to modify to get to your desired result. So in my eyes, this tuning thing is two fold, one side is the reverse engineering, and the other is the tuning aspect. As to your version of KESS being a demo, it sounds like it might be a clone device. There are a lot of those devices coming from China and have the same "Gift" of WinOLS which most times (I say this because I can't be certain that you do have a clone) comes with a hacked/cracked version of the software. I am not aware of any "Demo" version of KESS that also comes with WinOLS and those are two separate companies. I am not going to personally pass any judgement on the use or not of the Clone. Just figured I'd pass on the information.

Best of luck!

Thank you very much. Would you like to advice me on some classes for me to buy? If you know any
