Scirocco (137) 2009 EDC17CP14 CBAB 2.0 TDI 140PS

Hello, today I got a car from a friend, it is a scirocco 2.0 tdi from 2009, I have some questions about it. I have kess v2 5017 v2.47., I read by obd the software from the car. How can I write it back and it is safe to write it back by obd ? Does this ecu have tprot ? And if someone is willing to explain to me some info about tprot and edc17 ecu's . Thanks in advance. I will post id and obd file.

Yes, this ecu has the Tprot I advise you not to program it from the serial line you risk planting it

Write it. It is possible to write with write protection. It is risky but possible. I've done same kess clone edc17c64 with suitable VR.
If you successfully and file is correctly read, you can try to write it. First write same file, check if it is okay, then change 1 parameter, and try to write it. Problem can be checksums, probably tool will correct it.

Boot mode for write - open ecu, solder or pogo pins to use. As you use china clone referring to version number - risk kill ecu is real.
