Hello! A friend of mine gave me a MPPS cable because he didn't use it. So I started playingwith my car. Is a Skoda Octavia 1.9 TDI 100 which already has a remap. The ECU is, as mentioned, EDC15P+. I has the original flash since the firs remap done by the pro guy and I atrted reading the one on the car. Reading went fine, started working a bit in WinOls, launch control and a few modifications to smoke and boost maps, checksum okei in program. Went to the car and atarted writing, after checksumed it in the MPPS software. Writing went fine, no errors but the car won't start and won't wake. I tried writing the same flash in bootmode and the same result. I wrote original flash, the 100 hp one and it worked. After that tried once again writing via OBD the map modified by the pro guy and it wrote perfectly but the car does not start. Same story, after writing the same map (modified only by the pro) in boot mode, but the car starts with the original one wrote in boot mode.
My question to you is: in boot mode cand only ve written the priginal unmodified flash?
And another one: why won't start with the modified map written with the same cable I did the boot mode?
The checksum was ok, verrified with edcauite, WinOls and MPPS software. Is a problem with the MPPS cable I have? I can't read anything on it because the sticker isn't there. Or did you guys had the same problem?
Tomorrow I will try writing my modified flash with a friend's kess and see if it's a flash problem or it's a tool problem.
Thanks in advance for your answers!
There are the 3 files, the original, the one I managed to read with MPPS the first time and another one modded by me. Thanks.
Is it normal to write only original in boot mode? Why wasn't I able to write a modded flash?
