VCDS engine Torque

Postby Jannik07 » Sat Jan 30, 2021 11:29 pm

Hello there,

in the advanced measurements of VCDS is can check "engine Torque".
Someone experienced how exact it is to real world?
A friend of mine has a Seat Leon with the 150hp engine and in the datasheet it says it has 320NM of torque. But VCDS says it has 390nm. Maybe its already tuned?

only calc values... friction... did rest.
If you want to know power you can calc em by measuring some stuff like 60-120, 100-200, 80-160 to get some intervalls + use several corrections you measured to do it with more precision. Or go dyno.

Thanks for your answer,

I noticed on BMW cars that the shown value is quite near the reality or the datasheet.

In VAG its not =(

inner torque before losses, same for bmw or vag, means nothing , only mg of fuel (injected quantity on vcds) matters , that is if duration map is not cheated / decalibrated

roughly mg x 1.5 x number of cylinders x engine efficience

example 60mg x 1.5 x 4 x 0.85 = roughly 306nm
