I know, that the "rolling coal" doesnt get as much positive reputation on the software community.

But i have a question.

I'm using Vag EDC Suite to tune my software, there is a friend of mine who wants to blow some smoke.

He had some troubles with boost due to a problem with the boost sensor which was leaking air. The car started to get boost on 3500 RPM.. I maxxed the Smoke limiter map and he was very happy.

Now that the boost pressure problem is fixxed, it doesnt smoke at all. Only when he launches the car. Everything is fine, full boost on ~1900 RPM.

Whats the right way to pump more diesel into the engine? The smoke limiter isnt the right map to make it happen.


I dont like the rolling coal effect, but its a friend of mine so i try my best to help him out.

And please, do not write sentences like "its bad for the engine, enviroment", he is fully aware of that. I told him aswell :D

Calculate lower AFR

INCREASE DURATION MAP AT HIGH LOAD and the injectors will flow more fuel and smoke will blinde u :D

if you cant increase in edcsuite do it in ecm titanium or in winols better

In PM we can talk in German :) But your Problem is Smoke Limiter Map limited only all other Maps like Driver Wish, Duration ... You have to change all other Maps.
Do changes to afr under 14, 13 and inject more diesel
