Got a slight problem

Postby skes » Thu Jul 08, 2021 6:13 pm

Hi Everyone

I have a slight problem, I'll fill you in but try to keep it short.

Came out one day to use my partner's car a Citroen DS3 1.6HDi nothing from the fob so unlocked the car alarm going off, thought maybe fob, battery ok got a key man to make another key and test mine he said both keys ok but you have bigger problems, a couple of days earlier the battery had been off to charge and I'd tried starting it with a flat battery but I'd used it a couple of days after.
So on and off I've been messing with it, tried all kinds of resets etc no joy scanned it lots of DCT's mainly immobilizer, so decided to buy a ECU kit from feeBay BSI ECU and fob (my blade) fitted that, exactly same problem they were the same part numbers and everything except ECU was a Bosch rather than a Continental SID807 so I thought maybe the immobiliser coil was faulty so bought one of them ring tester thingy's, no LED came on so bought a second hand coil same part number but off a C4 I think still no LED, fun this isn't it.
I got a key code off the steelers but that didn't work it said the code you entered is not the same as the one stored.
Anyway, I decided to buy a Ktag to back up the files (from the original ECU) but now I've got them I can read them in a Hex reader but can't see any code/pin numbers .
So that's where I am at the moment, would appreciate any input on the subject.
I've uploaded (I think) the Ktag files in case they might help

Thanks

PIN Should be QCKZ

You cannot use easily swap ECU from BOSCH to SID807 without changing injectors and possibly the engine harness due to different pinouts etc. ECU type may also be in the BSI configuration

Well, I finally sorted the problem, after all that messing about it turned out it was the comms unit (behind the steering wheel) which cost me £42.50 of feebay.
