Please teach me about ECU flashing

Hii, I'm new to this domain, I've learnt a lot about ECU's and it's communication protocols and UDS as well. Now I want to know the process of flashing an ECU from scratch. I've understood and learnt a little from internet, but I have many doubts. And also the file formats which are used for flashing and what format do we use for flashing and also I wanna know whether the content in different file formats are same or not. I hope to learn a new topic soon. Thankyou all.

Hello, first of all what tool do you have to flash an ecu ?
Look something from Alientec, MagicMotorsport or Autotuner...
For flashing an ecu is easy on youtube are a lot of videos that shows how to conect make an ID read or write an mod file

If You're a hobbyist...I'll be interested in, which hw tools You're working with?
Nice tools are available...but the price....
