Map Header - Axis-data

Postby ducdriver » Tue Mar 19, 2013 11:13 am

Hi mate,
Concerns me a question.
In text mode of WinOLS I find the maps. Before the map data is usually the axes data, ie the first identifier (parameter code), followed by the field size, and then the axis values. So far everything is clear.

But not all maps, have a header, where the axis data are available. Where can I find the data? Sometimes I can take the data of similar maps. Now, if the field size is not true, what then?
Unfortunately, I have no suitable A2L or damosfile, that fits exactly to my ori-file.

Does anyone know the answer?

Thank you

Depends on the ecu/software version.
For my EDC16....

EDC16 has columns/ rows/ axes data/ axes data/ data
3 2.. 1 2 3.. 1 2.. 4 5 6.. 5 6 7 [3x2 table]
Which is fine for singular tables.

But sometimes tables with the same axis are grouped in binary multiples.
Often you can see 4 tables with no axes back to back.
The 'shared' axes data for this would be immediately after the 4 tables.

Some ECUs just use an axes ID... which refers to an axes lookup table at the beginning.

Hi,

settings are in 16bit - everytime!. decimal - why???

This is really my Ori-File!

In this File exist any Maps without Header! For example: Soi 1 had a Header, Soi 2 not. I can't use the data from SOI 1, because SOI 1 is a 20x20 map and SOI 2 is 16x16. The axles do not fit.

look

ducato 2.8 jtd = edc15c7 (missed the above post) ...according to other forums.
In which case you will have axes ID instead of axes.

Have a look at vag ECUs.

Hi man,
this "Ducato" I am. :D That was my state of knowledge a few weeks ago.
Today I am much further, and I actually finished my tuning also.
These questions are more academic nature. I do not understand why some maps have axis data, and not others.
I can't discover nowhere cluster or joint use. The number of interpolation points does not fit then.
To label my maps correctly (which I actually did not need it) I've done some "odd" things.
I 'm add the map locations for Ducato 2.8 JTD 129HP.
Maybe who helps others.
