Hi guys,
I´d like to ask you, profis, some questions, which are complicated for me to answer, but for you it could be much easier :-). They regard EDC16 on VAG TDi.
I´d appreciate your help.

1) Some flash files found here are 2048 kB. I read my ECU with BDM100, whose flash files were 1024 kB. First, how is it possible - BDM shout contain more information, than the OBDII files. Second: to what extent are the files interchangeable? Can we "cut" the long one to use it with BDM100? What if we write the 2048 kB with BDM100?

2) Lock/anti-tune lock. How goes that some ECUs are locked? How can we break it? Through BDM reading/writing? If it is locked, do we get an uninterrupted file (with BDM100)?

3) How are individual memory block located/identified in ECU? Through their checsums? Or through the absolute position in the memory?

As said before, then you for your answers and help. It is not easy to find such information in the literature.
