2013 Jetta TDI EDC17CP14 Help

Postby AaronD » Tue Mar 29, 2022 12:36 am

Hello everyone I am new to the site I own a 2013 Volkswagen Jetta TDI coming from a 2006 BRM that I was able to modify with a Kess v2 clone.

With the new car I realized the security is much tighter on these ECU's so I didn't want to risk a brick and wanted to get a full read and then disable TPROT and from that point I could flash with module 50 through OBD.

I bought a Scanmatik2 PRO with PCM Flash module 71 thinking it was compatible everywhere I could find said it supported EDC17CP14 w/71 but a user on another forum said TPROT level is too high and I cant read it without opening and using BSL module 53.

How can I determine what TPROT level this ECU has am I out of luck with module 71?

Thank you for any insights everyone.

the cheapest way for you is ...purchase ktag from china and before you read the file make full backup and read the ecu and post your file here i can remove the tprot and than you can read write from obd using only kess
