I have an issue. We are doing a wide range of measurements for car and aftermarket industries in our company. And for this reason sometimes we have to modificate ecu's. In other setups, we have to assure that the software is stock.

Can I ever be sure, a car is stock?
What is the best tool to get the actual data from the ecu? (So, no virtual download for a wide range of cars..)
What is the best tool to get original maps? (So, virtual downloads for a wide range of cars...)

I am using MMS Flex v2 right now. It's OK, it provides me data extraction in bench mode for some cars and/or virtual download in OBD mode for others. But I need other solutions for other models. Any advices?

So you will need more tools...
dfox, bflash, autotuner, kess v3... never any tool can do all ecus...
Or get original equipment diagnostic tools and do a flash like odis sgo. or frf. flash for VAG, Vediamo / Xentry for MB, Esys / Ista P+ for BMW...

But with flex and knowledge you can do a wide range ecus back to stock / original.
