Mini R53 tuner (wannabee)

Postby dprensel » Fri Dec 29, 2023 11:50 am

Hi there,

I'm Paul from the Netherlands and recently started to look into getting more experience in tuning my (both) Mini R53 Cooper S cars.
One is a BMW supplied JCW version used just on the road and the otherone is only used as a trackday car with modified engine and suspension. I'm planning on using MPPSv13 for reading/writing the OEM ECU and WinOLS for modifying the maps.
I also have the BMW INPA software tools to diagnose and adjust the OEM options. Both cars have a PI datalogger system and a wideband sensor for logging realtime values to help me with my tuning experiences.

I'm not really convinced if the OEM ECU is suitable/capable for track use but I do have a standalone ECU at hand that maybe installed at a later time of needed.

Ciao,

Paul
