I am new to the field of ECU tuning and need advice regarding the purchase of necessary equipment. While reviewing the available options, I found that the most commonly used devices in this segment are KESS 3 and AUTOTUNER. I am looking for a device and provider that covers as many car brands and models as possible. Would KESS 3 be a good choice for a beginner trying to establish a business in this field (chip tuning, EGR on/off, DPF on/off, etc.)?

Yes, but due to high yearly subs, Autotuner or even Flex would be more suitable for a beginner. I have Kess3 and Flex and both tools are good but i think kess handles better the older ECU like Magneti Marinelli 902 for example. Flex works great on newer cars obd and bench. CMD is also a great choose but also very expensive.
