Hey, it's Jay from the USA!

Postby jaylbird » Thu Apr 04, 2013 10:02 pm

Good day everyone!

I go by Jay and I am from Pennsylvania, US. I am new to the forums (obviously) because of my desire to save money.
If you notice my blatant noobness, enjoy razzing me since I will enjoy it too. I am ultimately looking for help with my car.

As I will undoubtedly post somewhere else, my need to learn ECU tuning is one born of limited cash. I hope to even help some
family members with tuning their cars. Since they are similar to mine, my interest will tend towards the Hyundai / Kia models.

My 1999 Hyundai Elantra (Bosch EDC15C2) needs lots of love! Paint and bodywork will come shortly, but I have added a new Injen CAI (clone) that likes to throw CELs all the time. The code of choice is P1127, or a rich idle mixture. I will look for help where I can get it and the ECU tuning forum seems to be the place.

I appreciate any and all help, whether it be general tuning advice, to best hardware and software, to Hyundai specific maps!

Thanks to you all, and I plan on seeing you on the board!
