306 hdi edc15 c2

Postby dannyboy0001 » Tue Apr 09, 2013 12:40 pm

Hey guys, i've just bought one of those cheap galletto leads off ebay with the software and i'm trying to get it all set up. Just have a few questions. I know it's not an ideal set-up but it's cheap and i plan to remap my peugeot ecu with this kit. I have KWP2000+ and it has a map on there which i will try. I have just a usb lead and i've seen that some require a multiplexer. I've also seen that the usb leads can be used on the 306. Does anyone know if the usb lead is ok with KWP2000+? And does anyone know of a good known file for the 306 (not looking for maximum power just decent economy + power combined)? It also came with other programs but this seemed the easiest to use. Thanks in advance for your help.

Just a word of advice - DON'T use the file that came with the kit. It will be crap.

The best way is to either:

a) Read the forums, learn and ask questions when you get stuck. When you have put some effort in, people will be willing to help.
b) pay somebody to do it properly.

The worst way is to:

a) Come on a forum and ask for a free map without putting any effort in to understand or try and understand
b) Come on a forum and say you are going to put a free remap on without understanding ECU HW \ SW numbers and how they have to match.

Just a polite tip like ;-)

Yes,i've read about the files that come with the kit that they're just sort of generic maps made up. I'd love to change the map myself but it turns out the kwp kit i bought actually isn't, it's galletto only. And from seeing galletto in action it seems like it's a read/write program rather than taking it off and being ablt to edit it. I've seen that alot of people use win ols but i'm not sure if this is compatible with what the galletto will read off the ecu.
I also want to remove the immobiliser from my old ecu and try to use that again particularly when im playing with remapping as it will give me a spare if anything goes wrong. Would i be able to take the file from the old ecu off, remove the immobiliser and remap with 1 program? Or will it require 1 program for 1 task i.e. read it off with galletto, convert it to win ols, remap in win ols, then conver to immobiliser killer, kill immobiliser + re-write?

I didn't mean to offend in any way with my post previously, and i have taken ages just to get the 1260 program up and running. I just wanted to see the difference between a good proven file and my original file to compare what parameters are changed and by how much. Sorry.

Sure, your galletto read will be editable by winols. Don't worry. ;) And yes, you are right, galletto is just a read/write tool for the ecu, it has nothing related to edit the maps.

Hello everybody

I´recently buy a Galletto 1260 on E-bay, it is possible to make a diagnosis with such interface or is only for flashing?

Hello I also have a galletto

and as you say its only for flashing, and depend on ECU type, read and write on some ECU or only write for some other.
http://www.pixtic.com/download/EOBD2_1260.pdfgive a list.

Galletto is not for diagnostic purposes, only for reading and writing dumps, it wil not read parameters and trouble codes.

Have you got a "tuned" dump file for laguna 1.9 dCi (EDC15C2 / EDC15C3)? I am curoius how it's modified, no need for any compatibility with sw/hw numbers, I would just like to see basic maps... If you do, could you please send it to me via private messages?
