hey guys im a noob to ecu tuning

i would like some info about diesel tuning im new to all of this i want to start simple i have a 120d bm and was thinking of taking particle filter out but i wanted to remove the pdf function from ecu, then i hope to squeeze bit more power from it
(i only have a car prog)

You need flasher like mpps , galletto, CMD to flash. But i suggest not to play with this type of ecu prior of getting a bit into reading if you want to do it yourself as this car doesn't forgive mistakes easily :)

also how do you decode the ecu data im guessing you cant just change raw ecu data it has to be converted first then changed then reconverted back to (is it hex) is this correct ?

hey m8 i have found a software online free demo of winols and you can see the raw data but i have not played with it yet but have loaded standard files to see if it works
