No no, its not like edc16, VAG edc17 is common rail, where VAG edc16 is PD.

For a soft and reliable tune, of about 12 to 15% power increase, on those EDC17 ECUs, you need only to increase the Torque limiters 12 to 15% across the full RPM band.

If there's no positive results, try to increase the Smoke and/or lambda limits for the same amount. Or clean/replace the dirty MAF sensor ;-)
