What are the big differences between clone products and original products?

with original you get support, you get updates, you get something that has some guarentee of working - and if it doesn't work on a particular ecu it's a bug you can take to the developer not a 'systematic flaw' that will never get fixed.

Genuine all the way - the price difference isn't worth the risk, yes it's a lot of money but it doesn't take many appropriately priced jobs to pay for themselves.

So if you are lucky to get a good clone it should be all okay to read and write?

In 11 years of business i used only one time a clone tool just not to loose a valued and "crazy" costumer.

It failed me like 10 times reading and writing and they were 6 cars to do.

At the time it costed me like 1500€ but that´s an ilegal device (i knew that) and after doing like 3000 cars with no failures with my kess v1 i got scared so after luckely doing the cars i went around the street and put it in the trash canister.

Cloned tools are very dangerous to use, in a blink of an eye you have damaged the ecu and you don´t even know why, i would not sleep good at nigth if i was using them.

I guess that for personal use i can understand that some guys have that kind of tool but for a business it´s not how it should be done.

Ethics, professionalism, code of conduct, apllies both professionalism and with life! As simples as that.......................

During time i charged many guys to fix ecus that they have "bricked" with those tools, i lost the count of the number...

Now i am really glad with the use of the online features in major tools to recent cars, no way for unloyal competition to get it done.......

No more clones here, even its for non professional use..... 99% sure ive bricked a EDC16C39 with a BDM100 clone.

edc 16 have in original same drivers for read
clone read and write whit same driver library or change driver no correct driver
its diferent driver for read edc 16 c3 c9 each manufacturer programing whit diferent lenguage
