1.9 tdi pd (pump duse) injection maps

Postby quiksilver666 » Tue Aug 07, 2012 4:45 pm

Dear friends, i would like to discuss the injection 1.9TDI PD (pump duse). I heard several theories about the maps of injection, but no one is sure of anything. The certainty we have is that there are six maps of injection, a selector, then another 10 more maps and a selector. Some say that these maps are controlled in crank degrees, others say they are controlled in milliseconds, and there are those who say that these maps control the injection pressure and injection advance. Does anyone have certainty about this issue?

Hello quiksilver666,
we are ready to help you, everyone has to start somewhere,
but I do not see any need for provocative posts or pushing the users in any case or any way.

That's just not fair to other users no mather you are a newbie as you are, or old user with any kind of badge or user group.
Everything can be done easily and friendly.

You do not need an expert to get an answer to this very basic thing.

First of all if we speak about the units than there are not (m) milliseconds but (µ) microseconds in this case...and this is not small difference 1ms = 1000µs,
that's a mistake of 1000 times.

1. Injection duration in PD engines --> Crank degrees
2. injection duration in common rail engines --> MICROSECONDS

If you want some more specific answers, than post some original file,
put more specific question and we can discuss more oriented.

Regards

Its not my intention to provocate anyone.. So, if this is controlled in crank degrees, why we have negative values? And where is The pulse with modulation in The ecu?

I think I read the original values are ATDC.
So you have to apply a negative offset to get BTDC.
Which gives you a negative value.
Factor -0.023437, Offset 78 and Precision 2

i Think Its The same if You apply The factor 0.023437 and offset -78 or factor -0.023437 and offset 78

3:1 Advanced injection timing
Each test cycle was conducted at constant brake mean effective pressure (BMEP) so that the
engine would then be required to perform the same task. In diesel engines, only about 80% of
the air inducted can effectively be utilized during the combustion process, the remainder
having insufficient time to mix with the fuel. This is one of the reasons why diesel engines of
a given capacity have lower power output than petrol engines of the same capacity and
speed. In addition, maximum power output of the engine demands that the maximum peak
cylinder pressure occur between 5 and 20 of the crank angle after TDC. To meet these
demands, the period of fuel injection was advanced by 3:5 given injection timing of 33.5
BTDC. Engine performance deteriorated in an attempt to further advance the timing.
