1,9Tdi tuning Vw.

Postby Pierre3400 » Thu Dec 05, 2013 2:07 pm

Hello guys,

I am going to buy a Vw Touran 1,9Tdi soon, and will be getting it rempapped. I am going to pay for for this at first hand, but later on i would like to know if it is possible for me to pull out the mapping they install, and then install the mapping on my dads Golf 5 1.9tdi?

If yes, what tools would i need for the Job.

I already have a Vagcom cable, but dont know if i need a special one for ECU remapping?

Hi, you can`t use same map for the cars, vagcom is for diagnostics, there are other interfaces for chiptuning.

The best thing is only use the software from the car. otherwise you get problems.
Always use checksum.
You can not use the software on your dads car.

Thanks for replys.

That out the way, what do i need to start messing around with my ecu?

I have 1,9tdi, i have vag-k cable, but i need a new cable system for ecu. First up, my car has the warm start issue that is down the revs needing to be over 280rpm before injectors kick in. This i need to learn to fix.

I know its in the ecu, and i need to disable it, i have my own 1,9tdi, and my dads 2,0tdi and 1,9tdi i need to fix this on, so any help as to what hardware i need to buy, please help me out.

Would Galletto 1260 be enough for me to change the part in the mapping for the warm start issue?

Galletto 1260 will be enough for read/write your file from the ECU

In EDC16 ECU they are two maps for Cold/Hot start

Okay, so i would be looking at reading the warm mapping, and then needing software to edit that map?

Which software can edit such a map?

Every software can change maps but if you know how to find map in the hexdump

Try to do a little bit a research and you will find everything thats needed for flashing and changing map on your file
