Ah, I apologise, when you said you were limited by smoke, I thought of black smoke coming out of the tailpipe, not the smoke map itself, sorry!
More fuel = more boost ;)
Then again, you might want to calcuate what Lambda you are running \ want to run. Standard runs about 17:1... You really want to run with the least boost possible for clean running.

I wasn't very clear actually, when i say I'm limited by something I mean I get limited by a map or a single value limiter :)

I just calculated something that should be Air Fuel Ratio.. Look at the pictures.
As you can see, what I did in step 13 makes it run very lean above 1000mg of air, that's why I don't reach an IQ of 70 in my logs.

About calculations....
I did this: AFR=(Airflow)/(IQ*0,84) because Airflow is mg and IQ is mm3. And 1mm3 of diesel is 0,84mg.
Feel free to correct me ;)
I still feel that this calculation is NOT correct. Because Airflow is measured in mg/pulse and IQ is mm3/stroke.
IF 1stroke=1pulse, then my calculations are right.
But I don't think so...
That pulse thing may be constant or it may be tied to rpm, like 1 pulse every revolution... :?:
But 1 revolution has 2 injection strokes, meaning 1pulse=2strokes.. :?: :?:

Over on the EcuConnections forum there is a good spreadsheet which calculates AFR from the mm3 in the smoke map.
Your calculations are correct. If you bring your columns for 1000, 1100, 1200 and 1300 mg in the smokemap to about 17.5 AFR you will have a good smoke map.

Bare in mind the RPM steps on this need a tweak to reflect the HDi smoke map. :)
Now you can edit your torque limiter to limit the overall IQ.

I stole turbo map from 2.2 4HX :D
I found another boost limiter map that was limiting my boost to 2000mbar.
In the 2.2HDi bin the same boost limiter map is set all to 3500mbar :?:
I'll post everything asap, I'm in the middle of university exams :?

dont nots the ride way you have to limit high pressure fuel pump or may broken it.
pressure gose to 1500 bara thats very high you have to limit from 1350 that`s a maximum by bosch brg

Going over 1350 is safe on the CP1 pump if done correctly, no bother at all there.

A few guys are running 1700bar on the original pump, with an upgraded rail sensor....!

The main issue is to achieve higher pressures at low rew and high iq...
If you have high IQ and not enough pressure your injection time increase and your car starts to smoke,
no real power, torque, cylinder lubrication flushing and so on (said in general).

For more than 1450bar the cp3 pump would be suitable.
