Thanks for replaying.
Yesterday wanted to remove FAP from my Peugeot 307. Today I can say I made it.
I don' t know if someone have the procedure, but I tell how I do it.
I have an 2002 2.0 HDI 108 HP
1. Disconnect the battery
2. Unplug connector from ECU
3. Disassembly the ECU. At this point you need two screwdrivers, because ECU is sealed with mastic. Keep eyes on connector
because are sealed in a same way
4. Make a small hole somewhere between connectors and put in a isolated wire.
5. Look at
http://wiki.obdtuning.com/?title=Bild:C ... latine.jpg6. Take an resistor with value between 5k to 10k and solder at pin 24. Solder the wire.
7. Make sure the resistor not fly in ECU from car vibrations. Use glue to stick the wire from condensators(not vibrating)
8. Optional you can use glue to be sure the resistor not vibrating (again safety first)
9. Reassemblly the ecu.
10. Take a longer wire with crocodile clips and attach to wire you solded in ECU(half of meter is OK)
11.Reconnect the ECU on car
12. Connect the laptop with MPPS (what i have) or Galleto on OBD Connector
13. Connect the crocodile clips on the ground
14. Connect the (+) terminal
15. Use key car to make on dashboard
16. Wait some seconds
17. Disconnect the crocodile clips from ground
18. MPPS - click only read (not other buttons)
18. The software tell you a message with what you do before. Click OK
19. It will start reading. On my car took 2 min to read.
20. The software will tell you to save the original.bin
21. Remove key car an disconnect the battery again no other moves
22. Use ecusafe
23. Save modded file
24. Repeat procedure 13-17
25. MPPS - click write and go to the modded file
26. The same message with pin 24 eprom
27. Click on the message about contine programming
28. Take a cigarrette or two because you need to wait 5 minutes. Be sure your laptop not have screensaver an is plugged on AC network and your battery car have in condition to suport this 5 minutes.
29. If (I hope) the work is completed 100% click ok and remove key car.
30. Disconnect the battery and reconnect again
OBS. I have read that some ECUs have a protections on read IDs. After an not in procedure read ID the ECU is blocked 15 min.
When I read first the ECU was not possible to re-read ECU and get an error. And of course car was not starting. Was scary moments for me. Belive me only read the ECU and car not starting was not good moments. For soldering use soldering stations because are safetly for ECU
But finally was OK and I have a Peugeot 307 with no FAP messages. I tested car on road and was OK.
I planned to make a drill in FAP. Because my FAP is capsulated I want to remove intermediary pipe and a long drill bit.
If this experience help other is good for me to know.
