EGR Off possible if its not functional

Postby dan9n » Thu Apr 16, 2015 9:09 am

1.6hdi (90) with faulty EGR valve. Is it not possible to turn it off in the ECU (EDC16c34) easy, when its not working? I have read somewhere that it needs to work to change the values?

EGR can be completely removed from the engine with no problem.

Oki nice. I am a newbie. So what do I do? :)
Is the easiest way to locate the EGR maps and change values or what? :) Have seen a lot of tutorials to locate them with Winols but is that the easiest way for a newbie like me?

You must find the EGR Hysteresis maps and set them to 0.

Then you must find the Error Class Trigers for the specific EGR related codes and set them to 0.

Find the EGR flow maps and correct them to show new diagnostic values, so no one can figure out that the EGR is removed from the car.
