My problem is that the galletto will no longer communicate with the ecu. I have tried it in what I believe is boot mode (by grounding pin 27 confirmed by the fact that the car made a few different noises than normal??).
The galletto I believe is still working as it can read other cars, but I've ordered a replacement anyway for all it costs in case that's the issue. I'm also suspicious that there is an immobiliser problem with the battery having been flattened / disconnected / charged a few times over the last day or two. I've read a few resetting tricks on forums which might fix any potential problems with keys the ecu not recognising keys.
I think the next step is to pull together a bench set-up, if I can flash the ecu on the bench then I will know that the problem must lie elsewhere.
Does anybody have a guide on how to do a bench flash with this ECU and galletto??
