BMW EGR/DPF off _ can influence the pressure in rail?

Postby bavarian » Thu Dec 02, 2021 10:33 pm

Hi All,
I am struggling with " check engine failure" that appears only above 3000rmp. when accelerating. Diagnostic system says that the actual fuel pressure at idle is much higher (450bar) than the specified pressure (360 bar)
fault: 0045A0 DDE:Rail pressure plausibility delivery-controlled

At higher rmp the difference between the 2 pressures is bigger too :eh:

Can this be caused by writing DPF and EGR off to ECU ?

thank you

thanks,
will ask for the files, however , I am afraid the increased injection is because of remapping . I did not do that , maybe in the mod file you will be able to see more info.

On the other hand, I read that the if the EGR is off in a system where the DPF is normally working , the regeneration will not start as the egr vale half opened position is the precondition of regeneration to start. Is this true?

if you have a problem with rail pressure because of high rail remapping ... you cannot drive the car it wont let you .... your problem has nothing to do with remmaping ... diagnose the problem somewhere else i would check the rail pressure sensor cause bad rail presure can send false signal to the ecu and than ecu will throw u fault

ISTA does not indicate existent fault for any sensors of he fuel system, however, at high speed during acceleration the check engine turns on , and after a restart dissapears.

I run a test - as seen in the picture - I am afraid the delivery control valve is not working properly and this is why the pressure in the rail remains high ?! :problem:

If the car cant reach rail pressure or they set higher than rlslv it runs fine... until it reaches the limit.
Normally your don't need to touch rail maps for simple st1 tune.
In attachment dpf, egr off file based on the original you sent to me in PN.
If runs fine in original state and bad with your map... its problem of map (or hw, maybe air leak). Do a log to verify.
